Other Fees & Discounts
Early registration fee per family (April - July 31st)
$50 per family per academic year. The registration fee will be charged when registering the first family member.
Registration fee per family after August 1st
$150 per family per academic year. The registration fee will be charged when registering the first family member, ($50 Musikzwerge only).
Sibling discount
After registration, the sibling discount will be credited and your account will be adjusted accordingly for the remaining payment. No sibling discount is offered for Musikzwerge, French or Adult classes.
Material fee
$50 per student per school year (no material fee for Musikzwerge).
The material fee includes all work and notebooks, copies, class literature, craft and class material.
Lecture books and additional CDs can be checked out by the students but need to be returned at the end of the school year or when/if the student is leaving the DSB program early.
School Tuition Policy & Due Dates
- A down payment of $250 per person/class plus registration fee is required at registration.
- The balance of the school and material fees must be paid by August 1st. If paid semi-annually, the amount for the second half of the year is due on December 15th.
- If you register after August 1st, all tuition, material and registration fees must be paid in full.
- Payment can be made by direct debit (ACH) or credit card. ACH payments are free of charge. Credit card payments will be charged with a 3.5% convenience fee.
- Registrations can also be made during the current school year.
- There is an additional fee of $40 for international payments when paying with non-ACH/credit card.
- If the student misses classes or leaves early, or in the event of unforeseen school cancellations, there is no right to a refund/adjustment of school fees already paid.
- Deposits, processing and school fees are not refundable or transferred to another family member or school year.
- Despite company billing, the family is responsible for paying all fees in full within two months of registration.
- The school management reserves the right to combine classes if the number of participants is small. The school fee will not be adjusted. If a class does not take place due to lack of registration, the fees will be refunded.
Default payment
If payment is three weeks overdue, a late fee of $100 will be charged, after five weeks an additional $100.
