French Language Classes

These classes are designed for students who require French as a second language based on the curriculum for the German "Gymnasium".

Class Curriculum

  • Classes are held TUESDAY from 4:30 to 7pm (possibly online)

The classes are offered as Beginner class level 1 (grades 5 / 6) and Advanced classes level 2 - 4 (at least one or three years of French).

  • The classes are taught in French with German-French vocabulary and meets the expectations of German Gymnasium.
  • School material used is officially approved by the German curriculum.
French-as-a-second-language

Class Description

A second foreign language is usually required for attending a German Gymnasium. For this reason and at the request of our families, DSB also offers French classes, so that nothing stands in the way of reintegration into the German school system. The language program offered at American Middle and High Schools generally do not meet the requirements of the German Gymnasium. French lessons cover vocabulary and grammar, but also teach the students about French culture.
